Chosen is ready for release!

I am happy to say that Chosen is uploaded and ready for release. For those of you that have pre-ordered Chosen e-book edition, you should be receiving it tomorrow. That’s right! I was able to get Chosen out to you almost a week earlier than I had thought since my last post. For those of you who have not pre-ordered Chosen, I will honor the pre-order price of $2.99 through the end of March. April 1st the price will be going up to it’s list price of $3.99.

Print copy of Chosen was uploaded this morning and I hope to have it available by the first of the week. In other news, starting tomorrow and running through April 1st, Kindred will be available for $0.99 to celebrate Chosen’s release. I hope that you all enjoy Chosen as much as I enjoyed writing this leg of Ashlinn and Alaric’s story. For your convenience see links below.

Learning from past mistakes…

As most of you know, this past year I embarked on a new adventure. I have written and published my first book in a series and until moments ago I was two weeks away from releasing Chosen, Book 2 in A Realms of the Otherworld Series. Even though Chosen is complete, I’m far from ready to release it. I don’t have a publisher, an editor, or an agent so the deadline I set for myself is totally self-imposed. I have literally gone back and forth all day on whether or not I can get Chosen ready for publication in time. In the end, I decided to err on the side of caution and learn from my past mistakes.

If I have learned anything in the past year, it is that no matter how excited I am to share my newest release with everyone, this is not a process that I can rush without making mistakes. I need to take my time with Chosen, it needs some additional polishing up so that when it’s time to be released it will shine like a brand new penny. So today, I decided to take my past mistakes and use them as stepping-stones to propel me further in my endeavor to bring the stories in my head to life rather than letting them bog me down. Once the decision was made to delay the release date, I felt a weight lifted from my shoulders.

Chosen’s new release date is set for March 31st, 2017 and is available for pre-order on Amazon. If I can manage to get it ready before then you will be the first know. Ashlinn and Alaric’s latest struggles and adventures await. Until next time, I hope that you all are able to use your mistakes as stepping-stones to further you in your adventures and in life. I will be busy for the next few weeks working on editing, formatting, developing the synopsis, and print cover development. The pre-order link is provided below. Have a good weekend everyone.

Chosen Cover Reveal

I have been so excited to reveal this cover. Dane did an amazing job bringing my thoughts to life. Chosen is set to be released on 03/17/2017. I set up the pre-order on Amazon this morning so that should be available within the next couple of days. Happy Tuesday everyone!

Chosen Cover Reveal

I’m very excited to reveal Chosen Book 2 in the series cover. Mark your calendars for Tuesday the 21st! I have to say that Dane, with Ebook Launch, out did himself on this one. I can’t stop looking at it. If you are seeing this post for the first time you can check out Kindred Book 1 of the Realms of the Otherworld Series, exclusive to Amazon in ebook format, soon to be released to print.

Feeling excited. Kindred should be ready to be released to print by the end of the month. Chosen’s cover reveal should be scheduled shortly and I have determined that the release date to be 3/17/2017. That is about 2 weeks behind schedule but having learned from past mistakes. I’m okay with that.

Officially, I’m a little more than 2,000 words into Keeper and can’t wait to see how things unfold for the Realms!
Happy Monday!

Chosen Timeline

Well, it has taken me a bit longer to wrap up Chosen than I thought, but now that it is done I’m excited to share it with you. This morning the manuscript went out to my beta readers and once they have completed the read and have shared their feed back it will go off for editing and from there it will be sent off to be formatted. My release date is still tentatively the end of February. I will keep you posted. One thing is for sure, Ashlinn has some dark days ahead of her in Chosen and decisions will be made that will affect all The Realms. I hope you all are ready for a bit of a roller coaster ride. I will keep you posted as to the cover reveal for Chosen.

I now have Kindred back from my editor and will turn my attention to reviewing the edits and getting it ready to be re-released. I am so excited to finally have Kindred in print format and can’t wait to actually have the paperback in my hands. Stay tuned for availability dates on when the print copy goes live on Amazon. Remember Kindred can be read for free with Kindle Unlimited or KU as we Amazonians call it.

Until next time. I leave you with this Gaelic Blessing.

May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face.

May the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again

May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Chosen Update

Today, I spent the day working on editing Chosen. Hopefully by the end of the weekend I will have the manuscript ready to go out to my Beta readers. Once that is done then I’ll switch gears and reach out to EBook Launch for cover design. I have a pretty good idea as to how I want the cover to look and I’m really excited to see what they do with my ideas. I’m thinking that Chosen should be available by the end of February and will keep you posted. I plan to make it available for pre-order on Amazon as soon as the cover has been completed and I have set the firm release date.

As for Kindred, I’m in the process of having an editor review Kindred and hope to re-release it by the end of January and at that time it will be available in print copy.

Here is a teaser for you of Chapter 1:

Chapter 1

I wake with a start, and I’m drenched in sweat. Not wanting to wake up Alaric, I quietly crawl out of bed and make my way to the terrace to cool my heated skin. The moon is a waxing moon. It’s but a sliver in the midnight sky, allowing the stars to pop out dramatically, as she keeps me company tonight. I stand naked to the celestial body in more ways than one.

My nocturnal wanderings plague me. It’s been a month since I dream walked during sleep. Astral projection seems like such a mouthful. The last time, Alaric followed me to my first meeting with my mother, Danu. I know he’s exhausted, or he would have sensed my leaving this evening. Things have been really crazy since arriving here in the Otherworld, and with everything that has happened recently, it’s no wonder that lately I’ve been preoccupied with the dark prince’s court. That may explain my unexpected visit to his domain this evening. To say that it troubles me is an understatement. Was it my subconscious that directed me to dream walk to Tarron’s court? Or was it something more sinister? Was dark majic at work tonight?

No matter the cause, once there, my curiosity was peaked, and I decided to have a look around. I really didn’t want to be seen or noticed in any way once I realized where I had ended up. For the most part, I was able to wander the grounds unnoticed, but as soon as I came upon Tarron, he almost immediately sensed my ghostly presence. He was in the company of a beautiful, young female in a sitting room, and if I had to guess, he was feeding from her. It appeared to be an incredibly intimate moment and from her moans and the way she was pressed against him I could tell that she was very much enjoying the act. I shake my head as if to clear the image burned into my memory. I can’t quite shake the fact that the dark prince sensed that I was there. He swung his gaze from the young woman he was feasting on and directed his glowing green-eyed gaze right toward me. He didn’t seem at all surprised that I was there as he said, “Well, Hello Sunshine.” His grin was full of wicked intent, and it was enough to send me back to my sleeping form, his mocking countenance haunting me.

Merry Christmas to me…

This is the excerpt for your very first post.

Today I was very excited to take the next step in my journey and set up my very own website. As with anything, I did run into problems and I know that it will take time to get the look and feel that I want, so for now it is a work in progress and I ask that you bear with me. Shoot, I may even, at some point scrape this look and go for a completely different look as I learn the ins and outs of customizing this site.

On to my blog, we live in a day and age of bloggers and I decided it was well past time to join the rest of the world. It’s so very easy to sit back and read about what others are doing and saying online as we sit at home, protected and safe from the rest of the world. What’s difficult is being willing to put yourself out there and take a chance on doing something that you love. This year, I decided to do just that, as I published my very first book.  Talk about scary, and then there was the fear of failure that I continue to battle. So today I gave a lot of thought about what success means to me. For me, success comes in small packages. I’m grateful for every person that read and reviewed Kindred earlier this year, and though the audience so far has been small, I view that as a success. Success isn’t measured in monetary gain. Rather, it’s measured in personal growth, and this year I spread my wings and flew. As I continue my journey, honing my new favorite past time, I encourage you to join me. Chosen: Book 2 is well on its way with over 90K words written. I hope to have it available by late February 2017.

So this year, my Christmas gift to myself has been to realize that its not about worrying about success but rather acknowledging that I did something that I never thought would be possible. I published my first book. I hope that this Christmas some of you will decide to do something you have always wanted to do but have always been hesitate to do so, put yourself out there.  Honestly, it will only help you grow into the person you were always meant to be. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
